Dr Farooqui is a dual fellowship trained ophthalmologist with special interest in Corneal diseases, Cataract and Refractive surgery (LASIK).

Following his specialty ophthalmology training from Shroff Eye Centre, Delhi, he was selected to work with Orbis International, USA, on their Flying Eye Hospital. Upon his return to Delhi , he undertook a corneal and cataract fellowship at Dr. Shroff’s Charity Eye Hospital. Subsequently, he worked as a consultant for Centre for Sight, before moving to Australia for his second corneal fellowship. He is actively involved in scientific research, with more than 40 peer reviewed articles to his credit, published in various national and international ophthalmology journals.
