Our hospital enjoys the rare distinction of hosting DNB courses for post-graduate subjects like Family Medicine & Anaesthesia. DNB is equated with MD/MS qualification.
This unique honour has been bestowed on SMH on account of its distinctive track-record as an institution which is playing a vital role in the community medicine.
SMH faculty take coaching of DNB students very seriously. Dedicated to educational excellence, we maintain a thorough vigil on student's progress during didactic and practical trainings.
As DNB students are future health providers in the country, they are encouraged to attend the monthly CMEs for their respective speciality. SMH ensures that DNB students develop competence and quality in all the subjects and they act in the best interest of the patients. The faculty consciously strives to improve the courseware material and enhance the training programmes.
Opportunities are provided for students to excel in their professional development through a process of ongoing evaluation, feedback and monitoring of educational experience. DNB is a recognized qualification as per provisions of Indian Medical Council Act, and the Government of India vide its various notifications issued from time to time. It has equated DNB to the corresponding MD / MS qualification, awarded by various Indian Universities. Centralised Entrance Test is the entrance examination for admission to the 3-years post-graduate (post MBBS) DNB Programme. Candidates must have completed MBBS from a recognised university with at least 60% aggregate to be eligible for this course.
