The pathology lab has three major subdivisions: haematology, cytology and histopathology. Haematology includes the study of etiology, diagnosis, treatment, prognosis, and prevention of blood diseases.

In cytology, FNAC (fine needle aspiration cytology) test is done with the help of needle to diagnose benign as well as malignant tumours and swellings.

A whole range of histopathology tests is done for detecting leukemias and cancers.

The blood gas analyser measures the level of blood gases, which is an important test for seriously sick patients.

Our microbiology lab is the hospital’s lifeline to diagnose major diseases such as: hepatitis, AIDS, tuberculosis, typhoid, dengue fever and others. In biochemistry, a wide range of tests is done which includes: heart enzyme tests, CPK-MB tests, semiautomatic analysis, tests for sugar, urea, etc.
