As a premier super-speciality hospital of Delhi, SMH owes its achievement to the vision and team-work of the consultants, physicians, surgeons, resident doctors, trained nurses, paramedical as well as support and administrative staff. The hospital is poised to achieve many new milestones.

1988 Sanction of land for Shanti Mukand Hospital from DDA
1989 Registry of land in the name of the hospital.
1991 Construction of the hospital commences
1995 Hospital inaugurated on April 2 with 32-beds; it starts with ground floor, basement and First Floor. All basic diagnostic and treatment infrastructure in place.
1996 State-of-the-art Dialysis (Nephrology Department) unit starts.
1997 Hospital’s Second floor with 28-beds inaugurated.
1998 Lithotripsy procedure (Urology Department) starts.

Third floor of the hospital inaugurated adding to a total of 100 beds in the hospital.

Whole body C.T. Scanner installed.

Drawings submitted to DDA for further new construction.

SMH-Curie Cancer Centre Starts.
Dr Kares Pain Relief Centre established
SMH-PSRI Nephrology Centre set up
SMH building renovation, hospital has 200 beds
Dental Care clinic established
PET.CT Scan Centre opens, first in North India.
2010 The hospital completes 15 years in April.
